Search engines are placed on a site with the intention of making it easier or quicker for users to find the exact content that they are seeking. If other menu choices do not provide an obvious indication of where to look, and if the content of A-Z lists on the site also do not help, then a user will turn to the search engine to get immediate hits for their exact needs. Most Internet users are now accustomed to using search engines such as Google to search the web for their needs, and so come to sites familiar with that concept.
