2012 has been incredible for SciVisum so far.
Despite the on-going recession we continue to expand, serving a rapidly growing list of extremely interesting and successful clients, all leading edge experts in their fields, winning business across all industry sectors.
We have welcomed more new clients, and released more new features, than ever before in one single period and are delighted to announce that we are expanding our R&D and Account Management teams, and the number of work placement opportunities for local university students.
I would like to say a big “Thank You!” to all our long-term clients, and extend a warm welcome to all our new arrivals.
Our development roadmap continues to focus on intelligent monitoring, realism and customer experience so that monitoring supports the needs of all departments, providing a valuable common language for the organisaiton.
By working closely together we have been able to roll out some fantastic, innovative developments including the following major releases:
- Ways to protect users from hidden errors during maintenance
- Dynamic Route Management that allows you more direct control over your Dynamic User Journey choices
- Sporadic Error Reporting to help understand the real incremental cost and impact on KPIs resulting from the cumulative effect of many small problems
- Trace Route Management to help identify and diagnose network problems
- At a glance KPI tracking
- The first stage of the “Intelligent Wallboard”
- Tuning Up The Load Test Engine
Christmas Load Test Preparations
We are starting to look ahead to the Christmas Rush already. This is a crucially important time for our eCommerce and Travel clients who are now putting their load testing plans in place to be confident that their sites can withstand the expected end of year peaks.
If you haven’t had the need to load test in the past, but are thinking about it this year then our experience tells us that you need to be testing by October at the latest if you want to have time to act on any problems you find.
Events and Activities
As many of you know who’ve already attended our Client Liaison Manager, Sarah Kempshall, is now hosting regular online seminars. These are a great way to help you get the most out of your SciVisum monitoring services. Each month Sarah will guide you through our latest release and updates, share tips on how to get the most out of them, introduce new users to the portal and discuss and ideas you have for further development. The next seminar is on the 19th July at 2-3pm
We were proud to be a sponsor of Barcamp Canterbury at the University of Kent once again back at Easter, and Deri shared a platform with Innes Murray of Inghams Travel at the UKCMG annual conference a few weeks ago with a very highly praised session that opened up all sorts of new questions.
Suggestions, Testing and Feedback
Particular thanks to those of you who made suggestions for new features, gave feedback on existing ones, or took part in beta testing. If you would like to know more about getting involved in product development in that way please do let us know.
As the online and eCommerce sector continues to thrive the vital specialist services we provide increase in importance every day. As this fast moving sector flourishes, so do our opportunities for delivering cutting edge technologies to help you stay ahead of the competition .
